craigslist around me has a few sets of factory wheels with tires available. from 500 up to 1000

 

So I decided to wire wheel/sand as much as I could and paint them black for now. They don’t look too bad from far but up close you see the defects and many of them. Then would been bondi for a good job but was just not sure I wanted to put all that extra work in something I will end up swapping out.

I sprayed the caliper a red while I was at it.

My chrome nerf bars need to get buffed/polished ...any tips on that? Also I see some paint bubbling, so rust in a couple spots. What’s the best way to handle that?

For the chrome/SS I use metal polish, just takes a while.

The black metal work I had bead-blasted and powdercoated - looked as good as new!

 

for the chrome try a ball of aluminium foil and some soda like whatever you drink thats in the fridge pepsi whatever, that should clean the bulk of the crap off the chrome. just rub it all off.
