Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.
I just replaced a dry rotted air spring. Was difficult to get the line out, took multiple shots of wd40 to get the fitting on the air spring to push down and release.
When it did come out it had a white plastic like collar on the line and another small piece stuck in the airbag fitting.
I put the new air spring on and the air line locked in place but now that everything is together and it's aired up I can hear and feel air coming out of the fitting on the air spring.
Is there a fitting or collar on the airline or should it just be straight tubing that goes into the air spring? The few videos I could find looks like the only fitting is just on the air spring itself.
Just looking for a confirmation.
Thanks
It's just a straight tube. The previous collar might have left a slight ring indention from its seal. You should have enough slack in the line to cut that 1/2" old end off to make a clean seal for the new spring.
