Default Actuators Again new question

I saw in the Jimdrew post there is 2 different part numbers for these actuator.
604-106 ($164) and 604-121($64)

I used the wrong part to replace the passanger and driver side
The 604-121 which was half of the price

The autoparts couldn't find any differences between the 2 parts .
Im wondering if the 2 parts are different and I have to redone everything

There is a difference.... If I remember right the 5 pin ones can be used in any position while the more basic ones will only work in specific positions. The main differences is the ones with more pins are for partial functions like temp where the door might need to stop at any given position while the basic cheaper ones are for single funtion like recirculation where it is only wide open or fully closed.

Thanks. Good link
I didn't check the pins on the one removed.
After replaced the vent is blowing cold air but not to cold
So the mechanic check it witth a tech2 scan and found the vent is 20% open
So I'm betting that the wrong actuator part is the issue.

Could be...... I'm actually about to replace the recirc one on my GMC truck which is the most painful to get at - behind pass airbag up top of the dash. That one is a basic 3 pin one. I think the others are all the 5 pin ones.

Also noticed that the cheap generic ones are all plastic while on the original ones the main shaft is metal. The Dorman ones also have a metal shaft and from what I have read are just as good as the OEM ones.

There also repair kits you can gets to replace the main large gear which is the most common failure on them.
