anyone redeemed this warranty before? how does it work
i my battery is probably 3 years old by now and it randomly died completely when my hummer wasnt driven for about 7 days. i have never had start up issues or anything ever but then again i dont let me truck sit for 7 days. when i got into the truck it didnt even have enough voltage for power locks.

im gonna try charging it up and seeing how it goes but wouldnt mind getting a new battery from gm if i can get it covered thru the 42 month warrranty.

any clue what they do at the shop? just bench test it or do they keep it over night and see if its faulty

 

They charge and test it. If battery has failed, it's prorated.
Warranty months -(minus)- Months used!
eg: 42month battery, used 36 months= 6months remaining:
6/42=14% credit towards a new battery.

do they not do the replacement warranty anymore?
i remneher 2-3 years ago when I got this battery it was Becuase my old ac delco was fully covered for replacement warranty and I am 99.9% sure I had that battery longer then 4 years.

i tried readijg about it and it seems that maybe they only give the warranty on the first battery that I actually bought rather then the replacement I have rn?
