I’ve started seeing the red N on my four wheel drive switch randomly in the last couple days when I put my vehicle in park it stays on and only will go off if I cycle it into 4 wheel high lock and back to normal four wheel drive has anybody seen this in the 2008-2009 h2

 

the switch might need disassembly and cleaning with some isopropyl alcohol maybe a bit sticky and activates when in park.

 

I’ll try that. I’ve had my h2 since 2011 and never seen the red N come on before and its not throwing any codes so I hope that’s the case that it’s just dirty

 

Not sure on 08/09, but my 07 I had the red neutral light coming on often, but randomly with no codes. I ended up changing the actuator with encoder motor with part GM Genuine Parts 89059688 Transfer Case Four Wheel Drive Actuator with Encoder Motor. This was a couple of years ago and the light has never came back on since it was replaced.

 

Same thing happened with the red N coming on and then when I tried cycling it into 4hi lock now it says service four wheel drive and won’t even go into normal 4 wheel drive mode
