Default 2008 H2 electrical problem

My 08 has started acting weird. The key-in-ignition ding has a new pitch. Also, when I put my turn signal on there is a static noise through the speakers until a few seconds after it’s turned off. That same static is present when the radio is turned on. What does this sound like? Fuse box?

Sounds like a bad speaker. Door chimes and turn signal sounds are run through the radio and come out of the driver door speaker.

interesting. Or the radio head unit. I have had suspicions that it’s not doing well. Backup camera is sometimes intermittent. I’ll look at speaker first

If it turns out to be the head unit and you go down the route of an after-market replacement, you'll find all the adapters and whatnot typically include or mention a "chime module". This is a box that goes behind your dash to replicate the chimes and signal sounds.

If you have a stock radio and amp, chimes, onstar, navigation all come thru the drives door speaker. I had lost all my chimes and onstar and found that corrosion in the speaker connector was the problem. Removed, cleaned and used a dielectric grease on the connectors and bingo, good to go. If you find the speaker is shot or the connector on the speaker itself is shot acdelco has a factory bose replacement

which should fix you up.
