The original owners either themselves or had someone else for them install and/or remove something. The factory does sometimes include unused wiring for optional accessories but they do not leave bare cut wires like that. There will always be some sort of connector/terminal on the end of the wire so that whatever optional feature can simply be plugged in. Those wires are were someone had cut into wiring for some reason. That being said, it is entirely possible those wires are not factory either.

On close inspection of the photos, to me, it does appear as though the round tube looking bit might be a Fakra or some other type coax antenna connector which could be any number of things like for a GPS locator, satellite radio, security system, Onstar cellular, etc.

Regardless it probably will take some additional poking about as Bronx mentioned to determine where those wires go. Either way they probably are not live and used by anything anymore but it does tell me that there is a potential that some factory wiring may have also been tapped into and poorly reconnected.

Throttle sensor is what I have possibly read. And it has been cut it appears.
