I would not call that a rust bucket, you should see some Kansas farm trucks.

I enjoy you posting these BaT ads, if I go look on there, an hour flies by and I get the itch to bid.

Yeah Phil,
I get a list of auctions from them every day. I save the look till after the last email on my computer...Otherwise I spend about 20 minutes going thru and looking at what's for sale. I usually pull out a HUMMER for the forum here, and since I have the 65 vette I pull out any weird vettes for my VETTHEADS site. You can sign up to receive what's for sale and sold or follow one car in the auction and they will update you on it's progress.

What is cool about the site is as the clock counts down to "0", the auction goes for 2 minutes after that. A yellow bar appears at the top and counts down. This gives any last minute bids a chance. If someone bids the bar starts over again at 2 minutes and counts down again. I sometimes will sit here and watch this go on for minutes. People keep jumping in and bidding.

If no one bids after 2 minutes, That's it. It's sold to the last bid. Pick any auction that has a few minutes left and watch the fun.

Too close to that saltwater...

The Atlantic Ocean is the saltiest of the world's major oceans, with an
average salinity of roughly 36.01 parts per thousand, though it can reach over 37 parts per thousand in some areas. This high salt concentration is driven by high evaporation rates in sub-tropical regions, creating dense water that drives major ocean circulation.

Mark. I was bidding on a few BaT cars, really want a vintage Eldorado, was the high bidder a few times and lost out in the last two min. Selling a custom pick up today that I bought 5 years ago, realized I have only put 500 miles on it since I bought it. Need to thin the herd a bit and could use the space, Now I will be down to 5 but always on the lookout. That is why I stay off BaT.

Guess what Phil, I'm a Land Yacht guy Eldorado Man Myself!! Here's one I've been drooling over but can't afford. I also like the latter front wheel drive models. But can't get myself to pull the trigger. This 1960 is out of my reach, But what a beauty!!! $157,000.00 and did not sell. Man would I love this one.

Hows that close to the water? That's some miles away. Sure might be a salty air climate, but not like you live next to the Ocean. I'm 9 miles from the Atlantic. And my stuff aint rusted. If your worried about salt air you should be worried about salt on the road when it snows not the air.
