Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Default 08 H2 service 4×4, stabilitrak, traction. Remote start not working

Hey All, I searched everywhere and can't find much on this.
I have a 2008 H2 base.
All fuses under the hood checked out good. It runs & drives in all gears OK. Reverse OK. Recently replaced grommet to shift linkage & trans fluid looks good, but about a week of driving the lights came on & the dial for 4x4 light blinks in all settings but, it won't stay on.
Also the remote start doesn't work anymore... Any clue ?
thanks in advance....B

if it is an aftermarket remote start i would check the wiring under the console. maybe bad wiring to the ignition.
as for the 4x4 maybe the encoder motor needs cleaning or replacement. or not enough power from issue 1.

Remote start is disabled if the CEL is illuminated.

SCAN ALL MODULES! O'Reilly only scans the PCM.

you need to go buy a tech ii scanner that will scan everything. Otherwise just take it somewhere. Almost impossible to diagnose abs/traction control without a good scanner

Could be a wheel sensor, could be a module, could be a ground. Having the vehicle scanned by a shop will give you an idea where the fault lies. The AutoZone / O'Reilly scanners only scan for Check Engine light codes, not the rest of the vehicle's modules.

I guess I have to pay a shop 100's of $ to figure it out.
I hope it's the dumbass switch/dial.
