Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.
Is there any special trick to removing these bumper plugs for the front license plate holes? Looks like I'll need to use a nut/bolt mounting instead of screws for the plate...correct?
My 2nd thought is to get a license plate mount for the front hitch. Anyone done that?
Keep it simple.
You are missing the OEM license plate frame/mount, which screws into these holes. It is not necessary, but avoids scratching your bumper.
Any aftermarket one will do as well.
The holes, for states that use front plates, normally have plastic inserts in the bumper for the screws to tap into.
You can get those at any auto parts store or dealer. Just have to be the right size, as they come in many different sizes.
As for the plugs, use a door trim tool to pull straight out. They are likely the push-in plastic tree type.
