Default 05 interior to 08 interior??

Question about the door trim if anyone knows. I like the 2008 dash and door panels better than what's on my 05. I also notice on the 08 door trim the location of the handle is different. Does anyone know just how hard this would be convert to the 08 trim on the doors and the dash?

I have wondered and (intensively) researched the same thing for the last week with no luck. I would love to swap out my 03' door panels cuz they have seen better days, but I cant even find replacement parts for them never mind a upgrade kit.

Subscribing to this thread so I can see the answers. I thought of the same thing yesterday and wonder how hard it would be to convert as well. I'm sure it's just ordering the replacement parts.

I figure the water deflector would be different because the door handle is moved.

i recently had one of the door panels off, the handle is attached to the door panel and not the door itself. and is cable operated so you wouldn't have to drill into the door for using these panels.

Not sure if that helps (i have a 2008)

Thats good to know. Maybe it is actually possible, the only thing I could defiantly see being different would be the door clips and some of the electronics. With alittle work I think it could happen What we really need is two Hummers to get together and give it a try lol

Recently finished swapping 2009 door panels into my 2005 SUT. Wiring was for the most part wire for wire with the help of both the 05’ and 09’ wiring diagrams.
problem I can’t solve is the window module. The 05’ uses a class 2 serial data line to communicate and the 09’ uses a GNLAN low line. Basically both the same but one uses a 5v pulse.
does any one know how to get these to work?
