Funny you mention CB Radio. I have an old school made by "Hi Gain" CB radio. Back then the output wattage limit was 5 watts at the Final. All the newer ones are now limited to 4 watts. I'm in the process of ordering a 1/2 wave outside mount antenna. When the chit hits the fan and the cell towers stop working I'm good to go for Human contact...
back 2 handheld radios.
Back in the days when the only communication was a pigeon, hand written letters and your bicycle, “yes Europe had it very old school still during the 60’s and 70’s it was normal when we had no news as no news is good news.
I’ve still an old lightbulb Philips radio somewhere. 👀🤷🏼♂️😎

Cool.. I have a few Handheld's also. I also have the "Cobra" Modular in the H2. That is ...the Mic and Speaker and display and push to talk and channel select are all in the handheld part. Under the dash is the Transmitter with the connector for the antenna.

I did thought about it but I settled for the combo CB/scanner.
Most of the CB traffic I hear are the truckers around the Houston area, around my ranch it is mostly the maga farmers.

Same here in Joisey... Ch19.. most of those guys have 100 Watt Linear Amps hooked to there CB's.... If The FCC catches them .....it's Jail Time. They splatter over every channel.
