Tonight after having to stop a little faster than usual, but not at
all extremely fast, I started getting an awful sound from one of the
belts.

After stopping on the roadside, not being able to see anything, and
risking to get to a service station so I'd have light to see by, it
stopped, but had issues starting and had indicated low voltage.
The belt made a little noise off and on, but nothing bad for the rest
of the ride home.

When making more sharp turns (streets instead of lane changes and
exits) the power steering was touch and go.
Any advice on how to get things at least sorted enough to get to The dealer?

The dealer I prefer is where I have dealings with my Lotus,
but thay are a good drive away. There is a place I can go if I
cannot manage to get there that is closer, but as I said, I prefer Dew(Further) instead of Reeves(closest).

I am thinking this is likely a failing alternator, though I have no
idea how the braking instagated the issue.
Any advice would be gerat.

There was of course the smell of toasty belt.
