Right, that would be basically what I just said. If your state is NOT on your list then one party consent is not lawful.

Oops. I do not live in one of those states. However I do own a home in Kentucky is that make a difference. I only record for personal reasons anyway.

It would be the state in which yourecord the calls from not where u own real estate. It does not matter what the reason one records for. If the other parties find out they are being recorded without their consent, they could possibly bring charges forth if they so desired.

You recorded the conversation? LOL Did you inform that you were recording? FYI ..it is illegal to tape record a telephone conversation without consent or knowledge.
Only one of the parties has to know..Then it's legal

Denny...read my previous posts...it varies from state to state..it is not legal in every state.

Just an update on the battle of the extended warranty. I never received my letter from the last phone conversation I had with a representative (nearly a month ago) who CALLED ME and gave me the final word of what they were willing to offer me. So, back to the phones I went yesterday.

I just got off the phone with a different representative who apologized and informed me that that other rep didn't know what she was talking about and had no business offering me what she did last month! She also informed me that GM has now changed the parameters completely of what they are willing to offer! (Nevermind the fact that I have been going at this since November AND promised a couple different things!)
I would venture to say that due to the vast amount of head replacement issues that they are now having, and the amount of money they are losing (like H3Head posted) - they are no longer giving the higher extended warranties. They may extend a year or so from your current warranty and maybe an additional 10,000 miles or so!

I of course at this point spoke my mind and said plenty that I won't bother to repeat...long story short..it's still under review (AGAIN)....and I believe that I will be getting screwed along with many others.

Do you want me to ask my litigation attorneys about this? Unfortunately they wouldn't be able to do anything about it (you can figure out why) but I can get some info as to what can be done. This is freakin' rediculous already. Now I'M PISSED for you. Who the hell is running the show over there? They pass the buck like a bunch of chimps swinging from tree to tree.
