My questionto those of you who have gotten letters recently...is this warranty "bumper to bumper," or engine/powertrain, or just engine?GM told meoriginally that I would receive "engine/powertrain" (which was all I expected and I was thrilled) but when the letter came, it was certain componants of the engine ONLY! Hence my battle with them now.

I DON'T have a powertrain warranty. I only have a warranty on certain parts of the engine and they are all listed in the letter. Too many to list here.

And I would have been satisfied with this as well, but DO NOT call me on the telephone, tell me you have GREAT NEWS for me!!! Then promise me one thing and then send me something different OR worse tell me oh gee sorry we made a mistake, you aren't getting that...not once but TWICE!

 

Lawwyfe, if it would be of any help to you, I would be happy to phone GM and rattle their cage a bit regarding your case. If enough forum members were to phonethe samespecific rep at GM and ask them point blank why they are jerking you around, and let them know how it erodes current GM owners confidence, then maybe you'll get some poistive results!
