H3max: ive never put down the rear trunk window
Don't do it! I put mine down and not only did my steering wheel fall off, all of my windows fell down into the doors and my brakes stopped working.

Ahhhhh well I can understand the need for speed! I do think the head replacement more than once is a rarity tho..especially if replaced with the new improved head. I guess I just don't consider it much of a hassle (YET) because my dealer is 15 mins down the road, they will pickup and drop off for me, I get a cool loaner ride - last time they gave me a big ole boat of a caddy (07 DTS) that would HAULASS!! And, I now have an extended warranty that will outlast my ownership undoubtedly. Ask me a year or so down the road when I no longer live here and have a dealer so close by and I may sing a different tune!

No Problems To Date.......My H3 has 8,000 miles and it will be one year since i got it .....in March.....I have had it for almost one year.

My mechanic at the dealership wanted to know if I had electrical problems or engine problems, this was an unusual question i thought, that is until i started to read the forum.

Add me to the list.A check engine light came up last week andI just got the bad news from the dealer this morning. He said that it would be at leasttwo weeks before he had a new head available for the car. He already has six in line ahead of me. The truck has a little over 5K on it and up until this point we really likeit.

Don't get discouraged. The H3 is a wonderful vehicle. From what I have read, most people haven't had any other major engine issues once the head was replaced. Make sure you get GM to extend your warranty out too.

Interesting[sm=nerd.gif]...I think if memory serves me right, there is a word or two mentioned about the Head/Vlave issue somewhere here...
