I have Black Plastic Mirror Caps and Black Handles. I've already bought chrome handles but want to trade the mirror caps if anyone is still interested. All good condition.

Anyone know what would cause the mirror to barely work after reinstall? I'm pretty sure I've got it pooped in place right, but it barely adjusts..

Default Tried & ended up cracking the mirror...

[quote=EarthQuakeAV;114865]

I followed your directions and ended up cracking my mirror. I have a 2009 H3X, all of your directions made sense, and I feel I was very gentle and steady with the mirror while driving to remove it. I don't understand what I did or how I need to fix this now unfortunately.

I think the flat head was a bad idea.once the bottom of the mirror is all the way pushed in off centered to the right a little is a firm hemispherical looking piece that seemed to be sturdy. Should I have used a wider and thinner piece of metal to pry it off with? I'm afraid to try the other mirror now.

Where can I buy a new mirror without getting taken to the bank by GM?

You mean you are the only one that can't see the pics..... posted Jan 5 2008???????

Maybe your computer is toast, or............ the guy that posted them took them down, is no longer hosting them, edited or broke the links from his hosting site, his account lapsed, or they are just gone?

Needed a driver's side mirror (black) and could only find a chrome one. I thought the chrome was a cap over a black plastic houseing. Wrong. Chrome mirrors are chrome plastic. I followed the directions...no problems. It would have been easier to tape it off, sand and paint.

Prying up the mirror glass was, um, scary! It is held on by upside down 'U' type fasteners. Other than that it is just some screws.
