Was looking forward to the launch and was anticipating placing a reservation - but the pickup bed is a killer for me, as is the cheap and vast plastic interior.

Oh well.

I did. I also go confirmation for it today. I'm not sure if I'll actually keep it or not but I did get one ordered. I had to use 3 different broswers plus my phone to get it to load correctly. Their site was TRASH the entire time. It would partially load on one broswer but not on the other and all that kind crap.

Wonder what GM paid LeBraun to endorse thier product.

Energizer bunny type character would be a better choice.

The Hummer EV Is So Popular, GMC Might Have to Build More Than Planned

The Hummer EV Edition 1 starts at a steep price....but reservations for the 10,000-vehicle allotment sold out in 10 minutes.
Earlier this year, GMC revealed the new all-electric Hummer pickup. It’s a thoroughly impressive vehicle, with acceleration to rival sports cars and superior off-roading specs to the Jeep Wrangler — all without using a drop of gasoline. If you were skeptical about how that branding would work — it seems antithetical, as part of the 2000s Hummer vehicles’ appeal was their wanton disregard for environmentalism — you don't need to be. According to a Detroit Free Press report, buyers are all-in.The Hummer EV launched with a pricy “Edition 1” model, starting at $112,595. It’s not an unreasonable sum, considering people are paying high five-figure prices for less-capable luxurious internal combustion trucks...but it’s still a lot of money. Nonetheless, buyers have apparently been in no way deterred. Based on information GMC revealed at a dealer event, Freep says the Edition 1 sold out reservations for its 10,000-vehicle allotment in just 10 minutes. Now, GMC is exploring whether it can produce more of them.

Reservations require only a $100 refundable deposit, which is not the most ironclad of commitments. But as with the Ford Bronco, it shows that buyers are interested.

GMC’s dealer event revealed some other noteworthy info about GM’s product planning. The brand will unveil the Hummer SUV that'll join the Hummer SUT in early 2021. GMC confirmed an all-electric Sierra is coming, but there is no timeline yet. GMC also has other unnamed electric vehicles planned, but won’t be ditching internal combustion, as reports suggest Cadillac will be doing.
