Cool

Not a fan of "All Electric". Maybe a hybrid or hydrogen fuel cell would be better. I still like keeping my carbon footprint.

This is excellent news. With others coming out with electric pick ups. Why not do it. Resurrecting the Hummer Brand with a alter ego electric power plant will throw a curve to all the nay Sayers that initially killed the Hummer brand.

GM needs to do more like this. Bringing back the Hummer as electric is way cool.

Cool

Tesla's concept electric Pick Up is now out. Looks butt ugly. Price Tag is $40-70K. Tows up to 14,000lbs which I find crazy, based on the projected weight of the vehicle. It's a bullet proof stainless steel body which is pretty cool.

Certainly by the time these electric "Tonka" looking toys hit the market. Both GM's new Hummer and Tesla's pick up will carry competitive price tags.

A battery breakthru is needed to make these EV's viable. As it stands the technology is not there to justify the price tags for one of these platforms.
