Solar panel are also a neat idea but impractical due to the sheer amount of current needed for any sort of significant charging. You could cover the entire roof of the new Hummer (or roof and a solar bed cover) and that would still not be nearly enough to actually get the vehicle moving. The generator I have does have a small solar panel on top to maintain its two starting batteries..

the GM we all remember seems to have lost its way...

They forgot to mention it comes with a designer Neimus Marcus extension cord... Jeezz...
