H2 for wife
#2
Yes, she will love it and love the attention she gets from driving it. My wife sort of kidnapped my H2 and we ended up selling her Durango. I am contemplating buying an SUT and selling the Suburban, which was the original plan. What do you think. Would I be crazy to have two H2's

My 2004 has only 60k on it and I love it.....but have had my share of problems along the way

Up to 07 had the 6 liter engine and 4 speed trans. Not as good for towing as the 08-09 trucks with 6.2 liter/6 speed.
08-09 also got an interior redo which smoothed out the a/c vents and refined it to more car like. Very nice.
07 and down had round "*****" for a/c vents--some prefer these as more of an H2 trait.
Some trucks got an air suspension which in my opinion rides a whole lot nicer and makes trailering more pleasant. Alot of folks opt not to go with the air ride as set-ups on earlier models tended to wear out and cause problems with miles. My 07 air set-up has been great to 55K miles so far.
For the older H2's, the 07 seems to be the year that all the bugs in mirrors, suspensions, and other annoyances have been worked out. Haven't heard much of anything regarding issues with the newer models.
08-09 2's also have a full 3rd seat option which gives one more seat over 07 below, unless you opt to buy a custom seat at about $1000.
Overall reliability on the 2's is very good. I've heard some transmissions issues at about 100K miles, but alot of drivers have gone beyond with no concers.
Gas mileage will never be fantastic, I average about 12mpg when I drive nice, don't expect much better though.
I enjoy every chance I get to drive the 2, whether on a road trip or in town. Very nice riding for a truck based vehicle.
Parking can be tight, alot of spaces are set for little cars anymore, so either expect to squeeze in and take door dings, or park in the North Forty and walk.
Turning radius is amazing for something this big---that's one HUMMER trait I really appreciate.
There should be no above average maintenance costs, oil changes and routine maintenace, no surprises there.
You can park the 2 in a regular garage as long as there are no lights above the aluminum roof rack (that was an option on some).
Hope this helps---I traded my H3 for my current H2 and absolutely love it.
