Default eBay Motors. Should I bother?

Anyone have experience purchasing a Hummer H2 from eBay Motors? Are they a safe bet?

Depends on the seller. I would say 9 out of 10 are good. I would not hesitate to buy a vehicle on ebay although I did buy a 70 El Camino on ebay and it did not look as good as the pictures once they delivered it. I put it back on ebay and got my $5500 back but I had to eat $700 in shipping. Carfax report would be a must.

Seller is all important. Might also see if anyone on the forums lives close enough to go take a look for you.

It doesn't matter where they are, as long as it's somewhere in the United States. I can fly in, pick it up and drive it home.

I'd be very very weary. Ebay is loaded with scam artists nowadays, so I'd be very scrutinal. Ask questions!! Get accurate pictures of things YOU want to see. Be sure to talk to the guy on the phone and get a feel for him and what he's trying to sell

But someone from the forums could do a walk around and/or test drive for you before you buy, spend the $$$ on the ticket and fly out. I've done it for many people.

That would be great. I'm not buying until October anyway. I may just skip purchasing a car for another year, and spend 4 months out of the country instead.
