I would leave it if you are not driving it much. Poor little birdie went to all that work.
Yeah..that is quite the condo he's got there. Or Maybe a she built it. I also would leave it. Then when the nest is empty, you can move it to the Front tire for next year.

it helps to pull the rubbers off and really clean the dirt and caked mud out of the channels. use a good stiff brush that can get into the crevices and some warm soapy water. if it is real bad maybe...
