A recyclle bin wouldnt be a bad idea and what happens if people want to get info that has anlready been discussed. I could understand useless junk posts but there are some good ones on cleaning and on rims and tire sizes, how to fix and installcertain things. They could be put in the FAQ section right?

or we can just put everything that has had no activity in say 90 days into an archive section that would be a read only forum. Thats what we do on my other sites.

I like the lock and read only idea to the old ones, anywhere from 180 to 90 days sounds good for age?? Delete would only be for the terds.

OK. You need to be clearer and more specific. If you mean, responding to the old threads directly or asking the poster directly when they aren't here anymore, then yes, you are absolutely right.

But what if you want to ask a specific question about a portion of that thread? Why create a brand new thread when you can have a direct reference in one that already exists? I guess it all depends upon what it is and who created it. I don't care either way I suppose.
