I suggested in the past that pruning was in order.... first off a database with 2+ year old posts is slowing this place to a crawl....

If it is worth anything then lock it and move it to a FAQ forum.

Another favorite of mine is the autolock mod for threads over 90 days.

Why create another post of something that is already on here? That's what the Search feature is for. We already have 23848 posts about the exact same thing on this forum, so why would you advocate creating even MORE posts of the exact same crap? It's kind of pointless to me.

Some kind of autolock mode would be worth looking into?? Any body want to fire up a Mod Room post and huddle on any ideas, locking, auto locking, FAQs, pins, and some recycle binners?? We can dump the useless post aye???? If we come up with some proposals we can intelligently offer it up for member discussion.

 

Mike, the search feature is great...for READING threads....what kinda sense does it make to reply to a two year old thread? Is Denise or his sidekick gonna reply back? Think about it Mike, Same question + New members = Different answers!

I like the auto-mod idea but only for locking the threads so that no one can reply to them...keep them as a read only.....lot's of good old info that I would hate to lose.
