You can read multiple sources saying if you have RPO code x and y then buy this radio etc. The ONLY sure way you will know which factory nav you need it to look at your amp under the console. I just ran into issues doing the same and so did another member. Luckily the radios we needed each of us had so we just swapped them and now we're both up and running.

Getting a like unit from another Hummer H2 2004 to 2007 should work fine. Just need to have the dealer program the unit to work with your computer once installed. Make sure to get the antenna from the doner H2 to go with it.

This is incorrect.

You MUST know if you have the lux or non-lux radio system. Counting the speakers, looking at RPO codes, etc will not be 100%. I researched every RPO code of mine and saved them and the radio I bought did not work.

If you buy an incorrect radio the dealer will be able to unlock it no problem but there will be no sound. Most dealers will not refund the money if the radio does not work.

As I mentioned, pull your amp from under the console. That is the only surefire way to determine which sound system you have.

As an example, mine has RPO codes for the lux package and lux sound system, I have 9 speakers including the sub, everything points to having the lux sound system. I bought a lux radio, it unlocked just fine but no sound. Come to find out by pulling my amp, the amp is not a lux amp. Swapped radios with another forum member who did the opposite and we are both up and running.

You can buy the antenna that plugs into the back of the radio for around $30 I believe on ebay or amazon. I did not purchase one as I really didn't care about the nav. Especially considering updated nav disks are over $300. I just wanted something nicer than the factory CD changer.

I just took my oem radio out of my 2003 H2, it doesnt have nav but if you want it make me an offer. Some of the lettering on ***** are worn so you will need to get stick ons if it bothers you.
