Stereo locked out

RE: Stereo locked out
If you bought the truck new, you should have the unlock code on a credit card like card in your owners manual. It will tell you how to use the code depending on which radio model you have.
If you don't have the unlock code, then you can go to the dealer and they will get the codes by using your VIN & S/N off the radio. It should not cost, but then again this is Hummer and not Chevy.
Good Luck

RE: Stereo locked out
Went to the dealer. They said it would cost Ninety something dollars to unlock. I asked if it was a one time deal. They said no and that every time the battery died or disconnected I would have to unlock it. Whats going on here???? Anyways went with a aftermarket unit with an extra module for the steering wheel controls. Works and sounds great. Dont think the rear headset addition works with this though. Ill live without it. 300 bucks installed. Not by the dealer.
