you can't reset the lifetime mpg counter (i don't think), only the one for personal or business trip through the steering wheel control. just go to the personal trip display and either hold down the bottom arrow button on the right hand side of the steering wheel, or hold in the trip counter in the dash guage cluster. then just leave it alone and it will rack up your mpg from then on.

 

I got 13.9 on the hwy the last time I checked.
