no, there are still banner ads after you contribute.

 

The banners and advertisements are put on the site by the company who owns this forum, along with the other automotive forums associated with it. Even the admins have no control over it. The network administrators do it on the servers. Most of the time, they don't even tell Patrick who is the main admin for everything. It's being addressed constantly so people know user's don't want them.
