I'm not sure if there is a local forum for NY/NJ area. If there is, maybe the a moderator can move this thread.

I live in Old Bridge, NJ and will travel up to 100 miles to get a good deal on H3. Internet searches show H3 to be around $15K now depending on the year and mileage of course. I just looked at one today at a local dealer, '06 with 70K miles for under $14K. I'm hoping to get a better deal if I bought from privately.

If anyone knows of one or you are getting rid of yours, please post up or send me a PM.

Um 15g? Jump on it. You wont see ANY hummer for less than 20g around here. And thats cutting it close. 22-23g is the minimum ANY hummer will be around here, with a majority around 30g+

 

Must be something wrong with it then for it to be offered that low.

 

What are the things I should look out for?

 

There aren't really any particular "things" to look out for on the H3. The ONLY thing that really comes to mind is the '06 and early '07 had head issues. Thats really the biggest thing. Most other trucks should still be in warranty.

06 with 70k? Check to see if the head was replaced and check if it is a reputable dealer, could be beat the heck out of.

I just bought an '08 Standard H3, w/the 3.7L I5 Engine, w/a rare 5 Spd M/T, w/15K miles on it, and a full OEM warranty left on it, for $23,500, here in the NW.

Most of the ones that I found here in NW were in the $20K+ range, w/an occasionally one just under, w/over 50K miles on them.
