Default Wont turn over but have electrical power

About twice a month ( started about 2 months ago) when I turn the key, the engine wont turn over, no click or anything, the radio and lights come on. I let it set for 10 15 mintues and then it will start. Anybody got any ideas????

If the engine doesn't turn over, make any noise, and you get no starter noise your ignition has most likely been locked out. When this happens does it seem to start back up after about ten minutes?

Usually this means your security module or body control module is going or gone bad.

Have you contacted your local dealership regarding this concern? There are many benefits to taking a vehicle to your local dealership. You can guarantee that technicians are certified and that the parts come with a GM parts warranty. For these reasons, I would recommend taking the vehicle to your local dealership to be diagnosed. They should be able to assist you further and have a plan for addressing the issue. I can also look into this issue further. In order to do more research, I will need some more specific information from you such as your name, address, phone number, the VIN for the vehicle, and current mileage. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact me either on the thread or via private message. Thank you.

Tricia, GM Customer Service.

Tricia, can you offer any advice or help other than " take your truck to the dealer"?

Doubtful, she doesn't work for GM directly but is part of a PR firm hired by them.

I did take my Hummer to a dealership but they said they couldnt tell if the security module or body control module is going bad until the truck wont start... and of course it started wile it was at the dealership. I find it hard they cant tell if is going bad beforehand.

I would be happy to look into this as well. In order to do so, I will need the VIN for the vehicle as well the current mileage. I look forward to hearing from you. As for the other inquiries, yes I do work for GM.
