From my experience with salt, the best advice over anything is a good fresh water power wash as often as possible including getting the water under all of the stuck on trim and in every crack and crevas you can find. Salt will sit in those places and start to rot your vehicle if it isn't rinsed out. For the non salty areas, a good bath on a regular basis is just as benificial. More or less treat it like you do in the summer, if not a little more regularly. as far as fluids and the rest of the drivetrain, that depends on how cold it gets in your neck of the woods, and wether you keep it on a garage or not.

I actually do wash my truck in the winter, not too much any other time but I do in the cold months. theres a brushless car wash by my house thats computer automated and open 24 hours, and it even has an undercarriage wash in it. It doesn't do the best job in the world but it's never scratched any of my trucks and it's only $4.

I am not so much worried about the salt because I try to keep whatever I'm driving as clean as possible (yes, I'm that guy that washes off the mud ASAP). I'm more worried about the Cleveland Browns fans, as I go to school outside of Cleveland, and honestly, the Browns seem to turn everything they touch into crap (what is the opposite of the Midas touch?).

Anybody have an idea on how to keep the Brownies at bay?

LOL..Man after my heart..

Today it had been raining and I had to go out to the country to help a friend with something..Anyways..He lives down a 1/8 miles mud and some gravel road..We have reddest mud in Oklahoma and it stains anything it gets on..So on the way home I stopped (in the rain) at a brushless carwash with and undercarriage washer too..Then when I got home I hosed and wiped down the whole underneath and wheel wells, side steps from this God aweful red mud (in the rain)..even the damn tires were stained....Well it's halfass clean now..
