Default winshield wiper fluid pump quetsion

Driving along today, the front windshield wiper fluid stopped working. No sound of a pump working when I turn the trigger on the wiper controls. The back fluid works fine and I can hear the pump.

My question: Is there one or two pumps for the front and back nozzles? If there is only one pump then I know it is a problem with the trigger. If there are two pumps, time to get out the multimeter.

There are 2 pumps and they are on the reservoir The one toward the rear is for the front washer and the one toward the front is for the rear washer. Not hard at all to replace and it is much easier if you remove your airbox. There was a TSB's on the 06's. I don't know about the other years. I hope this helps.

RKSmith163 is 100% correct there are 2 pumps. You may want to check your fuse block and see if the relay and/or fuse is blown first.

Any idea which fuse it is? The manual shows fuse #16 is the rear wipe pump switch fuse but does not specify which one works the front pump. I went ahead and checked every one associated with the wipers but just curious.

Well, it must have been something that I checked because the motor started working again. I guess it was a bad connection somewhere. Gremlins I tell you!

Glad to hear it is working again! Not sure which fuse/breaker it is myself.

Poss. it is a breaker that popped and reset. Like the one on the window motors.

That's what I am thinking. Either that or just a loose connection. I shot some silicon spray to a few connections to counteract all the salt just in case. Glad I did not have to replace the pump because I was not looking forward that with it being so cold right now.
