Default Wind intake rattling/turbulance noise.

Question for all my fellow hummer fans. Have any of you ever had issues with wind rattling/turbulance noise when driving +60 in high winds? At first i thought my windshield was leaking air. But then i realized that the noise was coming from each side on my front end depending which direction i was traveling. I think the noise is from the wind on the outside "pretend" air intakes on the hood. Have any of you experienced this?

Default Same problem here

I've noticed the same thing on mine. Sounds like a humming vibration coming from the driver's side just outside the wind shield around that raised cover. Happens only at highway speeds when the wind is blowing harder than usual. The cover seems to be somewhat loose as I can move it around a little by hand. Bugs the heck out of me when it happens.

Default Hummer humming

Yes, very annoying. I have never had a wind/noise issue as bad with any past vehicles. My covers dont feel loose at all. The noise was so loud that we could hardly hear the music in the cabin. Granted, we were traveling against a cold 25 mph wind the whole time. But still.

This subject has been discussed many times --- a "Search" of past threads will direct you to the (usual) problems

Most of the time --- One or both windshield moldings (plastic side driver and passenger) are making this noise. They vibrate and make the noises you are explaining.

While this might not be all your problems, It is a noted problem and most dealers will repair or replace these moldings if you are still under (bumper to bumper) warranty. If not, they are easy to replace.

Winds been howlin around here the last week or so and I've noticed the same noise when I get close to 60mph or faster. Sounds like it is coming from the bottom corners of the windshield...very annoying!!!

Took my truck into the GM dealer today (can't take it to the local Hummer dealer because they can't do warranty work). They drove it and said they heard the noise. Their lame explanation...the Predator Brush Guard changes the way the wind drafts off the hood and windshield causing the noise. Huh?
Taking it to the Hummer dealer in the morning.

Mine was the rubber strip under the wind shield i put some rubber in the mountand it helped take that thing next to the hood off and you will see it.
