Default winches

Looking into getting a winch for my Wagon. i have never messed with winches on trucks, only ATVs. would a 9500lb winch be ok? most of stucks will just be in mud, not extreme hills or pulls.

Rule of thumb is to get a winch with a capacity 1.5 times the weight of your truck. that would mean you should get a 12,000# winch.

yeah I know about ****** blocks, but it cuts your pull length in half. I think I am just going to go with the Milemarker 10500 hydaulic system. The Army uses them a lot and Milemarker makes a whole bolt on kit. Anybody have anything negative about this setup? thanks

If the pressure hose breaks you will lose steering and brakes. I prefer the Warn winches.
