16" wheels will fit. The rubbing all depends on your backspacing.

Brake clearance is a good question.

Why 16" are you putting on massive rubber?

Personally I think the 17's are too small looking. But that's just my opinion.

 

Well yeah anything can fit if the back spacing is correct, but this could be done by having a completely negative backspacing to where the mounting surface is level with the back of the wheel... it is still the question of if there is enough clearance.

Ie. Does the brake caliper possibly rub at that small of a rim

 

Why not craw under you H2 and have a look/ measure how much clearance there is? 9/16ths or less it won't fit.
