Why no Vortec I6 4200
This thing pumps out massive HP for what it is , why would'nt they have this in the Hummer H3 ? We just got a new Trail Blazer at work and they upper the hp from 275 to 295. I drove it today and it's got massive power and would easily fit in the H3. So why the useless jump from the 3.5l to the 3.7 l in 2007.
Is it to keep buyer's changing and buying and upgrading , I have a feeling you will see this in the H3 soon. Way before a V8 that someone talked about here.

we met some GM reps on the rubicon last weekend. the lead H3, they had three of them, sounded awful beefy. as soon as we mentioned V8, the driver clammed up. i'm thinking you may have something better to choose from relatively soon. they had already run the worst of the rubicon when we saw them. it's probably the only hummer that will be made after next year.
I'd love to have the option of the the 6 or small 8 in the H3. I can't figure out why they haven't put the Duramax on the H2's either. If they did a DMax H2 I would give the 3 to the girlfreind and get a 2.

As far as the only Hummer after next year , I can see that too , with the intro of the H3 the H2 just aint selling anymore unless someone need the bigger more powerful unit. I'm sure you will see an H4 coming soon that's supposed to be more of the Jeep grand cherokee size. atleast thats what the dealer to me during my interview about up coning products. he also talked about and has seen a mid sized pick up .
I know alot of people don't like those idae's but they need to do that to stay afloat in this market of rising fuel and people wanting the best of both worlds.
I don't even think they need to upgrade the motor itself, what I don't understand is why they don't offer a supercharger as an option. a blower would get the hp numbers up where the truck would scoot pretty good. I know in 4 years when my warrenty is up I'll be putting a blower on it instead of trading it in for a v8 (if one is avail)
