Where is the thermostat located on 2006 H3

Default Where is the thermostat located on 2006 H3

I have a 2006 H3 that I recently had a diagnostic done on they told me I need a new thermostat, I purchased the part now I need to know where the thermostat is located and any advice you wish to provide that might be helpful while doing the work. Any information you can provide will be greatly appericiated.

messy job,its low on the left side,drains most of coolant.
u can buy a legal copy of the entire service manual on the internet for 15 bucks.
be sure its not a bootleg illegal copy of some company's intellectual property!!

usually thermos are at the connection point of one of the 2 radiator hoses to the engine.

follow your hose

As Dr. Tom said, its on the drivers side, low. I too am (was) getting the P0128 code and the truck temp runs cooler. The good news is that the OEM part is cheaper than the aftermarket partslinger.

Flat rate mech friend of mine said its a 2 hr job by the book and 2 1/4 gal of Dex-cool.

ya know, with all the engineering advances im surprised the thermo change out is not a module that u change like swapping a gas cap,without loosing a drop! well maybe a few

Its right up your rack and pinion eaasier job if you take one side of the plastic over the wheel section i mean i changed mine because it was bad anf my rack was bad to so i killed two birds with one shot actually 3 i needed an engine oil change and did it all in one.
I actually recomend for you to flush your water before doing the job uou dont want that falling on you.
