Some daysI wonder if college will wind up paying off in the end. Ilose almost a grand a month in wages tobe backin school, and if I went back to work and don't change my life from the way it is right now, I could be making that money work for me in an IRA, more contributions to my 401(k), or other investment opportunities. This actually is pretty realsitic in that before college, I had the same lifestyle as I do now, but I wasn't keeping a close eye on my money and let it slip through my fingers.
When I finally land that cushy white collar job with the corner office and the secretary, will I be making enough money to get caught back up to where I could be if I go back to work full time? Retirement is only 3.5 decades away, so I have no time to waste on hairbrained ideas.

Other than that, college is swell, and life is good.

My brother had the same decision to make about 6 years ago. He stuck with school, graduated and now makes $130,000 a year.....it'll work out for ya in the end.

Those are the types of figures I would like to be making 6 years after college, and be living someplace where that kind if income is impressive and not a requirement for existance. Standing here, and looking forward, it is hard to tell if that is where I'll be, but looking back, I can see where all of my mistakes are. I just dont want to be 6 years down the road and see that I made a bad choice here. Because of that, I don't keep track of the potential earnings from investments of that extra grand/month,even thought he principal is easy to calculate, and continue to go to school. I figure, if I cant get that high paying job, I can alwayscontinue doing what I am now and be confidant in knowing there isn't anything better for me to be doing.
