Wheels and Tires Sticking Out
Hello,
When I bought my new rims and tires (yesterday) my goal was not to have the tires stick out. However, today, I realize they are sticking out about 2 inches. (yesterday was a long day). The rims are fine but the tires themselves are wide. In turn, I am concerned about paint chips during day to day use. I am adding the Husky mud flaps which may help a bit.
Do you guys think that this will be an an issue? Any insite from previous experience would be helpful. I am a bit irritated with the shop because they knew I did not want them sticking out.
Thank you.

Stock rims and tires do a pretty good job sending mud and stones up the sides and fenders, so I can only imagine tires that stick out 2" further are going to be that much worse. The Husky flaps will help, but don't know if they are still going to be enough. Someone here with the Huskies can better answer, I'm sure.
Nice ride and welcome......
I have the same issues with the setup on my rig. However, I wanted that wide look
and knew what I was getting into. Besides the extra wide Husky flaps up front, I will
most likely go with this product:

Nice ride. Your stance is wider than my set up, did you notice the truck getting dirtier from day to day driving compared to the stock wheels?

Dirtier?
Oh hell yes ! !
Had to join one of those discount car wash clubs ($39 bucks a month, unlimited washes..tips and tire dressing extra) and usually have it done
AT LEAST once a week. In between washes, if the weather has been dry, I just hit it with a little dust mop
sprayed with Endust. Works like a champ…..
However, I bet I can tell you the location of every farkin’ lawn irrigation system
in my area and the time of day it goes off. Needless to say….. I navigate accordingly.
One puddle and the detail job is shot….
Just wait till I get some good mud pics….Dennis will have a heart attack ! ! !
I’m going down to the river this morning to do some recreational shooting,
If I get in some decent mud I’ll post you a pic or two.
BTW: I think the look of your rig is well worth the extra work.
