I haven't been around here long enough to know if you guys ever checked into the Sticky Pod for you Video Camera but it works great! I have the Dash mount model and it holds the camera nicely to the dash. Here is some info:

That is pretty cool looking. looks like it would work well also. Great for the trickier obstacles.

I've used it at about 5x now with no problems. I used it at Paragon and Rausch Creek and it held the camera perfectly through both parks.
