Default Wheel Spacers

Anyone running spacers or adapters? I would like to see what my H3 would look like with 2" spacers on my factory wheels. Im trying to figure out how wide spacers would have to be to avoid having to trim my current wheel studs. I think if i go with 2" i should have deep enough holes to hide my lugnut and studs. Im not for sure if i want to run spacers or not. 2" of tire passed my fender my get a little messy so i am trying to keep my factory hardware intact. I dont off road enough to worry about breaking the solid billet spacers.

Default may be undriveable

ANY spacer obviously upsets the suspension geometry and ive read where it causes shimmy when u hit a bump. this was for small amounts so 2 in may be "all" shimmy,,,all the time.

i guess it concerns how far out from the pivot point the tire is. the more it is, the more it wiggles the steering, so i read.

I have wondered the same thing. Changing the backspacing on the wheel has the same effect as a wheel spacer.

Default spacers

i'm looking into spacers as well. i don't want to change the hummer rims.. love em... but that seems to be the only way to get that wide tire look without using spacers.

if spacers cause wiggle wouldn't aftermarket rims do the same thing since they are/could be wider?

Default Wheel spacers?

I am looking at getting some wheel spacers for my 06 H3.... Not sure what size yet 1 in or 2 in... does anyone know of a place to get good spacers? I don't wanna have something like that break while traveling down the road.

Don't know about where you guys are, but 2" spacers in Michigan or Ontario will get you a ticket for having your tires stick out beyond the fender lip too far.

IMHO spacers are to be used only as a last resort. Do they work? Sure. Are they the best option? No.

Default spacers

i live in Arkansas and as many jacked up trucks there are around here i wouldn't think that would be illegal, but maybe... i'll check on that.

I've run spacers on sports cars for years. Tracked them, autocross and drag, never had a problem. Just make sure you tighten the lugs nice and tight.

Though i have no idea what putting spaced rims Offroad would do, or even what it would accomplish considering 305s and 315s already spray mud all over the side of the rig.

Why do you think you need spacers?

I would assume rims with the proper backspacing.
