Best advice is what ever you pick, stick with it. Metal has memory. So, if u DO use Royal Purple, which is an incredible product but a BIT pricey, use it ALL THE TIME... If ya want another CLOSE option, I use Mobile 1 Full Synthetic cause I usually try an change b4 I hit 3k miles. ALSO, very important... Wix Oil Filter! I SAY MANDITORY! DO NOT use a generic!

I use and am completely comfortable with the Mobil 1 and AC Delco filter combo. The frequency at which you change your oil has a lot more bearing on the wear and tear of your engine than using any particular brand of premium oil and filter.

+1. Good combo. Change it when the vehicle tells you to.

UNDER 3k miles? Wtf? Most synthetic oils are good for 5-7k miles, with some stretching as far as 10k miles in gasoline motors.
