What's this???
When I first saw it I thought it was a bubble level...upon further inspection it looks like some sort of security light, but I've never seen it light up and always wondered....

Right, ambient light sensor.
When it detects low light it turns headlights on, not DRL's
Do not disconnect this sensor. It monitors small voltage to the BCM and it
might cause problems for the BCM. Mine did.
And don't cover it it up with anything
