As mentioned in another thread, I need to buy a proper sized spare tire. With all the good comments regarding duratracs I figured I'd pick one up for the spare, then eventually replace the other 4 when the time comes. Stopped by the local big-o - holy sticker shock batman, $270 each plus mount and balance plus tax. I'm looking at close $1,500 for all 5 if I can get them to toss in the mount/balance for free. I thought these things were in the $220-$230 range... Buying 5 will adds up quick.

BTW, they didn't have any in stock and the local warehouse was closed so they took my number in case they get any halfway decent used 285/75/16 tires in.

Yep, I'm with Tainter. Sears will price match anyone, even TireRack. I got my 5 285/75/16 Duratracs for about 1200 with 4 year warranty.

 

Cool, I didn't even think of Sears. $232 is much better than $270-$300...
