It was just a perfect day to go out and hear that at the end of a good day is a real downer. It is sad what America has come to these days. I could only imagine what they would say if I pulled up with my pair of Jetskis attached to the 3 . It makes me mad too. No one appears to have any common sense anymore, except for you guys of course.

Jealousy starts at a very young age. So many parents have taught their children to only believe what they are told, and to put down those that intimidate you. My guess, those same children would have been the first to jump in and ride a trail if their parents had one!
As a primary teacher and mom, my goal is to teach children to think for themselves and to make good decisions. Look for resources and get accurate information. If Johnny says the sky is falling...does it mean the sky is falling?? I got into an interesting argument with a co-worker. He told me I was setting a poor example as a teacher by driving a HUMMER to work. Boy,did that get me started!

 

Yep, they are training our kids to be good little communists. I have to "uneducate" my daughter everyday when she comes home from school. Public education, even in some of the best neighborhoods, is a joke. They are teaching our kids that we were attacked on 9/11 because we are rich, decadent, and wasteful.

Parents won't spank their kids, because it's easier to just choose the path of least resistance and not discipline their kids. Discipline isn't just smacking brats around, it requires the parent to sometimes be a hard a$$. Most parents are too concerned their kids won't like them. They don't need another BFF, they need a parent!

 

Exactly. Nothing wrong with a little coperal punishmint now and then. Now I aint saying be cruel, like hit em for no reason, or when their sleeping, but sometimes a firm swat to the behind gets more done than saying now presious Idont wan't to hurt you're feelings.

Lets' just say my kids have mouthed off once, each.

I cant stand this crap. I remember at the store nearby my former boss said that someone asked "Why arent you driving your Hummer? Gas to expensive?" (Or something to that effect, it may not be exact) I seriously think its because they are/were jealous.

Guess what I stumbled upon while looking for a Pro-SUV bumper sticker - http://shop.cafepress.com/suv. Theres lots of Anti-SUV stickers saying how soldiers are dying because we are driving SUVs, and how we have small private parts, not to mention the enviromental ones. Excuse me but I dont see the correlation between ***** size and a SUV.

On my reading through something on AutoBlog I stumbled upon this - http://www.autobloggreen.com/2008/06...off-the-roads/ Just look at the comments under that article, some people are glad that gas prices are rising because it could take vehicles off the road. I left a comment under the name "Foxtrot" because I was pretty pissed off. I already barely get out of the house (I am 17 with no license and in the process of a certification) because of the gas prices.


I think its just so damn ridiculous how anti-SUV people are being lately. Hell, not even just SUVs sometimes, automobiles in general. If you want to live the 18th century life then I guess you should join the amish.

But, I still hope to be a future Hummer owner
