Default What kind of spider is this?

I have squished about 4 or 5 of these damn things lately. They are pretty big, but not as big as they look in the picture. I think they might be those brown Recluse spiders that you guys are always talking about. I have found two in my home, and about 3 on my porch, and one or two in my garage. Should I get an exterminator? Keep in mind, this house is barely one year old.

Thanks. That's a pretty close match. When you are used to seeing small ones in the city, and move to the country and see these things, it's kind of a shock at first, but then you seem to get used to them after a while. Unfortunately, I don't trust them since I have small dogs, so I'm a little paranoid about them getting bit.

Look up some pictures of people with brown recluse bites, they are pretty bad. Fog them fog them all. I really don't like spiders.

Looks like a DEAD spider!!!!! A relative of the KO [sm=smiley11.gif], no longer with the living kinda spider. I vote............Wolf Spider? Not a recluse, if you been seeing them, they have not been reclusive.

Get yourself a gallon of Spectracide Mike. I spray the entire way around the house, and have not had a spider problem since.

When it starts cooling off, they try to move in!!! [:'(] Blackstangs has the idea, spray around the outside of the house and they will avoid the area.
