Default What hould we do?

Bought an 09 H3T had it 48 hrs and tranny went. Dealership has had it for two weeks now and have overnighted a new tranny. We are concerned with the truck and reliability. What if anything can we request? Can we request an entire new truck?

Unsure of new truck unless it passes the lemon law criteria. Im not sure what this entails. There are consumer protections in place. I would start with the Better Business Bureau and Department of Consumer Affairs. Car companies dont like bad press.

That sux, I bought a brand new Ford a few years back, and the V8 dropped a valve destroying the motor on the way home from the dealership, lasted about 40 minutes...

They replaced the motor and I got a free watch was not happy.

Never had any satisfaction from it.......

No lemon laws in Australia

I test drove an 08 H2 SUT at a local dealer but didn't buy because they offered a crappy deal. About a week later the tranny on this H2 failed while another person was test driving it. I bought my SUT at another dealer, now has 17k miles with no problems! As long as your dealer does a good fix, you should have no problems. Good luck!

All depends on how the dealership is with their work.....give em a chance, but if you have any other issues, or have issues with the tranny again, start checking the lemon law procedures...I know in my state if your truck goes in, more than three times, for the same issue, you can pull the lemon law on it....

Chalk it up to a bum tranny. Get the new one in right and you'll be fine. Maybe ask for extra warrenty length to make you feel better.
