I started all this controversy so I’d like to try toput it to rest. I regret the comment I made to Importkiller. Unfortunately I don’t think people show our veterans enough respect for the sacrifices they have made. Immpy may have been making a joke but I think it was in very bad taste especially when we have troops engaged in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan defending our rights to makes those jokes.

Yes, I am a sensitive old man with a very good sense of humor. Ask any combat veteran, a good sense of humor is needed to keep your sanity after experiencing the horrors of war.

Would I do it again? Absolutely! I refuse to let anyone rag on any serviceman or woman or veteran from any branch of service. I’ve always said, “unless you’ve walked in the other guys boots, don’t make jokes�.

So hopefully this will be the end of it. I have no ill feelings toward Immpy and hope to carry on a friendly relationship with him in the future.

I personally don't care if you rag on me about either of the services I've been in. I've heard all the Navy jokes and dumb Army comments and could personally care less if you voiced your first amendment right to disparage me or anything I've done, it's your right as an American. Now if you want to get me mad just talk to me about open borders, illegal immigration or NAFTA. Oh that's right Osama Obama is going to fix all of that with "hope and change" Duh! Stupid me!

 

AD we are with you on the service deal. No one here would tolerate anyone ragging on a service member. RJ funny but in all of the years I have been following politics "change" has been a major theme of at least one of the candidates in every one. I love how taxing the rich is the panacea for all the world's ills. Oh yeah and its George Bush's fault also. So tax the rich and get rid of Bush and the world will be right again...at least it seems that a lot of people are buying that weak line of BS.

 

Man this thread has gotten off topic, but I have to say Real jeep I really don't know why you would have such a problem with NAFTA, I have a small company and I purchase over $500,000.00 a year from the US, and thats just me, all I can say is from the many companies that do purchase from the States, all it is doing is helping your economy and creating more jobs, as it is doing here, actually even less these days with our dollar being Strong, sale are staying more with in the US, so in reality the NAFTA is a way better thing for you guys then for us at the moment.

You should Recruiting duty At least 2-3 times a day I'm told to F*** OFF or that I'm a mindless slave to the govt while I'm doing phone calls. If you don't agree, just say no thanks and move on. All of us with the exception of about 3 guys have been deployed, more than once and general census is that we would all rather go back to war then deal with the A**holes!

It's very sad, don't get me wrong. We don't have to deal with crap like the Vietnam Vets did. But I think it's all relative, I couldn't imagine people doing that stuff to me.

But keying our Govt cars, writing in paint on our windows "DIE FOR YOUR COUNTRY" (since when was it taught that that was a bad thing to do?). Cussing us out on the phone. Kicking us out of WalMart when we are in uniform because they are afraid we might recruit some of thier people.

Oh, and before I do it. I do make fun of the other branches, just as they do my branch (ARMY). It's all in fun, nothing personel. We are all on the same team doing the same job in the end.

 

As someone that owns both a Rubi & an H3 I think I can give an honest answer. Josh, I don't use the Rubi as a daily driver. It's a toy for me. I bought it new in 04' as a platform to "start" a build. Yes, it was ok stock (but not for me) & yes, I have no doubt in my mind that it would out preform my H3 easily in stock form as well as built-up. As far as creature comforts...the H3 wins hands down. I don't think the two vehicles should even be compared in the same catagory though. A jeep should be compared to, well...something Jeep-like. And vise-versa.
