What to do with my old rims?
Ok, my H2 that I purchased just over a year ago, (love this Hummer). Came with chromed rims. Kept having trouble with air leaking. Did get new tires just last oct, and it held a little bit, but they started leaking again, weekly. Got disgusted and bought new rims all the way around, and they are really nice, like they way they look, and they make it look more rugged, in my opinion. My question is, should I try to sell the old rims? Maybe somebody else might want to sandblast them, and powder coat them, as I don't think I will use them again, since I like my new ones. Or should I just turn them in for the scrap value! Any thoughts? Not sure what the value would be, since the chrome was flaking enough to make the tires lose air, so they would need to be cleaned up from that chrome. Thanks for any opinions!

You should post pictures. There may be someone close to north Indiana who would want to buy them from you or trade.
Most rim repair shops will only sandblast the inside lip and then fill them for a permanant fix on the leaks. that is if the chrome on the face of the wheel is anygood. if the chrome on the face of the wheel is bad then scrap em. once they were chromed they were probably too pitted in the process to be of any use.
Thanks you for that insight, I was thinking that they might not be any good, especially if I was already getting air leaks. Figured that sandblasting would possibly make any pits larger and no powder coating would fix that. Appreciate your thoughts.
The chrome is coming off the outside of the rims, especially in the crevices, and the spoke regions. Looks ok from a distance, but then you come up close, you can see where it is starting to flake off.
